So it's been a while since I have posted. Life has been busy in my household but especially at my job. I recently completed a 6 month project that had been working. I managed to work out most days during the final crunch time but didn't manage to blog.
Where am I now? Not much different then I was before. I have continued to work out with my trainer twice to three times a week most weeks and I feel stronger but am still not losing the weight. I think I have only lost 2 lbs since I started on my journey back to fit.
I did return to my running group this week for the first time and I died! We only did three miles and I walked about half. I SERIOUSLY need to up my cardio. The first reason is to not die at running club and the second is because lifting weights will increase your muscle mass and help you burn more calories but it does NOT help you burn fat.
My focus this week is definately going to be on my cardio. My plan is to work out with my trainer on my normal morning days (Tuesday and Thursday) and to do a cardio most other days. I would like my schedule to be as follows if I can work it out:
Sunday: Run/Walk (5 min warm-up, 9 minute run/1 minute walk X 3, 5 minute cool down)
Monday: Spin Class (Should be a killer)
Tuesday: 20- 30 min. on the elliptical or treadmill followed by personal training
Wednesday: Swimming
Tuesday: 20- 30 min. on the elliptical or treadmill followed by personal training
Friday: Rest
So if you look at my schedule above, you need to know that I am aiming to complete my first sprint triathlon in approximately eight weeks. Hopefully this explains the variety of cardio a little bit.
Now this weekend is my anniversary and my husband has planned a kayaking trip which I am super excited about!!! So I don't have any particular schedule for this weekend.
Also, this week I need to get back to my eating plan which seemed to be working for me:
5 meals a day
No carbs after lunch
Eat sensible meals with protein in each meal
Hopefully, this week's plan will help me start losing more pounds so I am a little closer to my pre-pregnancy weight (and fit into my bathing suit a little more confortably this weekend.)
